Browsers crashing on 25272 to 25300 - Display Resolution Bug - Temporarily Solved

Chrome, Edge & Firefox, all crash and the OS becomes unresponsive, I can't recover it unless I shutdown.

Anyone else seeing this?

Update:

A temporary solution is to use recommended display resolution or change to MS basic display driver.

I restored Beta to the laptop, I'm gonna monitor Dev on the VM until they fix this bug.

Gotta go, have a good night!

These 2 on the old MSI don't fail with any resolution, they are way older adapters and drivers.

So all we know for sure is that virtual and some non-virtual old drivers and a wireless connection are immune.

Not much of a pattern 🤣

I.D.K. May have something to do with WDDM levels.

Perhaps the dxdiag command could show the differences in the display drivers. 😎🤷‍♂️

The bugs are easy to reproduce, MS should figure out where they screwed up. 🤐

    These two fail:

    These below don't fail:

I wonder if Jason is reading all this and what he could tell us about it.

I tried to go back to an older driver from 2021 and it was still failing the same when using non recommended Resolution. The Nvidia driver fails in a similar way but not as easily as the Intel.

Both fail when using a resolution different from the one recommended by Windows.

    So I was right then.

It doesn't matter which driver is used, they all failed with non-recommended resolutions

    except the wireless one.

Or my old MSI GT70, that does not fail with any resolution either. 🤣
