Get your Windows Insider Affiliation on Microsoft Community

We are introducing a new Windows Insider affiliation badge for Windows Insiderswho are also active in the community. To receive the badge, the Microsoft account used to sign up for Windows Insider Program must be the same Microsoft account used on Microsoft Community. This affiliation badge will be awarded on a monthly basis and will remain with the profile as long as the user remains a member of the Windows Insider Program. Windows Insiders must sign in to Microsoft Community after September 1 for the badge to appear on their community profile.

    Hi Mike,

    If someone is a member of the Windows Insider Program and doesn't yet have the badge on their community profile, they should:

    1. Verify that the Microsoft account used on their Windows Insider Program profile and Microsoft Community profile are the same.
    2. Sign out and back into Microsoft Community.

    We do have a few cases where these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue of the missing badge. We have a bug open for this scenario and hope to resolve it in the future.

    Hi Suzy,

    In my region (Dutch) I spotted only a few (5 or 6 Insiders until now) with the affilation award.

    There should be much more Insiders with the affilation award. I have confirmation from two Insiders that they are running an En-Us Insider installation. I think the other Insiders with the affilation award also running an En-Us installation.

    We are aware that signing out and in works for some people but not everyone. No need to change any settings. We are investigating on our side.

    Hi Suzy,

    Just tried again.

    Singed in and out of the community and Windows Insider with the same MSA and password. I feel a bit silly because maybe there is something I don't understand. Should I change settings for my region?
