I noticed a change in windows security today with Build 25262.1000.
Looks like they enabled Local Security Authority protection, was not there before this build. They added two entries in the registry. See below.
So, I turned it on and restarted. 🤷♂️
Yet, a third machine at the same Build level does not have LSA turned on. 😎🤷♂️
I figured out why one machine has a different security. It still has 2 old folders from previous 22621 builds that were downloaded when MS Security had a problem with updates of the security platform. Those end up reinstalling an old version of the security, I had to manually delete those 2 folders and the old SecurityHealthSetup.exe to eliminate the outdated security 25183 that was left from the 1.0.2208.1603-0 update back in Sept. 21. 🤣🤷♂️
Wrong security version got installed:
Microsoft.SecHealthUI_1000.25183.1000.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe
After cleaning up the mess I did an update/repair in place to make sure everything was up to date. 😎

I did not notice right after the update to 25262, but now all machines at this build have the new LSA security which was not there in previous builds.
I found nothing in the blog about this change either. 😎🤷♂️
Did anybody try booting in Safe Mode with Build 25262.1000?
I tried on one of my machines and it still missing the Taskbar.
This time it is not in a loop flickering, but there is no taskbar. 🤷♂️
