Preparing for Insider Preview Builds of Windows 11 - ***UPDATED 6/28***

My PC settings indicate below. I cannot sign in to mthe DEV channel . I have updated my Laptop already to W11. i am sure that the hardware issue can be easily sorted out if it displays what the real issue is. Can someone assist for me to get W11?

Yes, all modern motherboards have TPM. How implemented is a different issue. It's easier to resolve on a Laptop as the design assumes that the user will not take it apart the way a PC builder does. Processors in a laptop are soldered in and not swappable like a PC.

In the case of my PC (Rampage V and Rampage V edition 10 ) the TPM sockets exist on the motherboard but the software in Bios does not give you access to a PTT without one if it exists at all. For many X99 motherboard users you have to actually install a physical TPM module in order to see any options appear in Bios. ASUS does mention a PCH-... listing to look for this. Am guessing I would find it if I had a Rampage VI motherboard which is X299 series chipset.

So, whether this was required in the past or not the implementation prior to now has not been very consistent. I don't see Intel coming to the rescue here with a downloadable PTT application or the motherboard manufacturers offering Bios implementations to reveal any built in PTT or TPM if they exist. Microsoft may have 'tried' to get this done over time and the implementers did not give it the attention it needed. So, in the end, Microsoft ends up drawing a line in the sand and builders and users are upset that they have no way to adjust what they have to comply. Wonder how many companies will lose their steady customers over this .

OK . What is the Question ?

If you want to stay with Windows 10 it is not a problem. You can change your insider setting from Dev to Preview release if you were a Dev user on Insider.

If you click on Settings > Update & Security > and select "Windows Insider Program" You will see the words : "Stop getting preview builds" you can click on the "options" button to see your options for leaving the program. The options you make will depend on what Build you have installed. Make sure you know if you have Dev, Beta, or Preview build. What you do next will depend on which one you have.
