Preparing for Insider Preview Builds of Windows 11 - ***UPDATED 6/28***

As many others are saying, my CPU is listed as being able to support WIndows 11 - but, WIndows Update basically says NO CHANCE!!

Not only is TPM not so easy to buy, but it will also result in additional costs if someone buys windows 11.

It is very sad that the company has taken such steps!

This does not meet the consumer's expectations, and will entail additional costs, problems with installing the chip in the interior of the device without specialized knowledge or experience, problems with encryption and cryptography certification in some countries can also serve as a problem of access to windows 11 when it is officially released.

How to Install Windows 11 without Secure Boot and TPM 2.0

Microsoft has increased the hardware requirements for Windows 11. If you want to reinstall Windows 11, TPM 2.0 and SecureBoot are now one of the hardware requirements.

Windows 11 can also be installed without these requirements and we will show you how to do it.

This guide is suitable for Windows 11 21H2 and higher.

Before installing Windows 11, create a reg file, which you then copy to a USB drive.

Right-click on the Desktop –> Create - > Text Document.

Copy this content to a file:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\LabConfig]

"BypassTPMCheck"=dword:00000001

"BypassSecureBootCheck"=dword:00000001

Save and rename the new text file .txt to Win11 Bypass. reg or select "Save as" Win11 Bypass. reg (All files).

Now the icon will change, and the file can be copied to a USB drive.

Installing Windows 11 without TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot

Insert the flash drive with the Win11 Bypass.reg file and start downloading the OS.

Click "Install Now".

Enter the key or click "I don't have a product key".

If there is no key in the BIOS, then the version of Windows 11 that corresponds to your key should now be selected.

If you click "Next", you may see a message saying that Windows 11 cannot be installed on this device. "Windows 11 cannot be started on this PC.

Now press the key combination Shift + F10, and the Command Prompt opens. Enter Notepad or Notepad.exe and press Enter.

Now in Notepad, select "File" –> "Open"in the menu.

In the window that opens, switch to " All Files "in the" File Type " menu and find your USB drive.

After finding the Win11 Bypass.reg file, right-click and click "Merge".

Confirm your choice.

The Notepad window, as well as the Command Line, can now be closed. In the selection of the Windows 11 version, click the "Next" button again.

Now the installation is proceeding as usual.

Based on this material, it proves that it is possible that Microsoft intends to tighten the requirements for installing windows 11.

I haven't checked whether it works or not, but I think it will work.

I apologize for perhaps not very perfect English.

My system displays a message saying my PC doesn't meet the minimum requirements for Windows 11, which doesn't make sense since I have an Surface Laptop 1st Gen. which got TPM 2.0 , Intel i5 , 8 GB Memory and enough Disk Space ?

I hope there will be further information coming out on the TPR / Proc issue.  

• need to explain TPM and the need to maintain the KEY (or lose data)
• need to explain recovery process or what to do if you need to swap hardware re: TPM
• would like to hear specifics on why the proc level was chosen.
• individual case resolution / tests

Example:

A PC builder installs an X99 motherboard with socket 2011 and an 8 core i7 in it.   The 8 core i7 fails to make the list but there is a Xeon Processor that is on the Qualified Vendor List from the motherboard company that  'does'  qualify on Microsoft list.  If the PC builder installs the 'approved' chip and installs the manufacturer  TPM 2.0 module will Microsoft approve it for Windows 11 ?   

It's a lot to spend to 'try' this out but cheaper than replacing a  $$$ motherboard / processor.   We are talking about substantially equipt PC's and not entry level here...
