Preparing for Insider Preview Builds of Windows 11 - ***UPDATED 6/28***

For users who are receiving the following message in your Windows Insider Settings:

Your PC does not meet the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11. Your device may continue to receive Insider Preview builds until Windows 11 is generally available, at which time it is recommended to clean install to Windows 10.

We've made an update to Settings to resolve some issues. Please reboot your device to ensure you have the latest update.

    you must enable TPM {[fTPM (AMD)] [dTPM] [PTT (gigabyte)]} in BIOS.

    how to check if your pc already have a TPM chip: press win+R and type "tpm.msc". if there's an error then go BIOS mode and enable it (youtube tutorials)

    if you bought your pc in/after 2018 (2017 AMD) then your TPM should be in-built and of version 2.0.

    version 1.2 was released in 2011 and version 2.0 was released in 2014. if your pc is older, then you should contact your pc provider and ask him for a TPM v2.0. or just buy a new one duh.

    I am quite astounded by the AMD CPU supported processor list. I am running an AMD Threadripper 1950X 16 core processor yet  I do not meet the requirements because TR generation 1 is not supported.  My PC meets all other requirements.

    I'd like to know Microsoft's rationale to exclude these more than capable line of processors.

    Buddy, it's a good thing. But even somehow if the your does not meet the the minimum hardware requirement; your PC might crash as might not be able to hold the load!

    A Microsoft blog also says that "In preparation for releasing Windows 11 Insider Preview builds to the Beta Channel later this summer, we are moving PCs that do not meet the hardware requirements for Windows 11 in the Beta Channel to the Release Preview Channel. Some of these PCs may be able to move back to the Beta Channel, but at their own risk. See the above chart for details."

    So think what can happen in the dev channel!

    What planet did you come from?

    Windows 11 supports Atom processors.

    There are new computers that can't run the programs I use on my computer from 2 years ago.

    How can microsoft say that windows 11 won't work on my computer and the other colleagues here. We are all beta testers.

    If there is something working in windows it is because we were guinea pigs and now they say that we won't be able to use what we tested.

    Found out that my main PC would be compatible, except for one small problem: all disks are MBR partitions.

    Could convert the main public build to GPT, but this would leave my 2 Insider systems on a separate, partitioned disk useless.

    Don't know as to where to go from here
