Preparing for Insider Preview Builds of Windows 11 - ***UPDATED 6/28***

***UPDATE***

For users who are receiving the following message in your Windows Insider Settings:

Your PC does not meet the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11. Your device may continue to receive Insider Preview builds until Windows 11 is generally available, at which time it is recommended to clean install to Windows 10.

We've made an update to Settings to resolve some issues. Please reboot your device to ensure you have the latest update.

    Buddy, it's a good thing. But even somehow if the your does not meet the the minimum hardware requirement; your PC might crash as might not be able to hold the load!

    A Microsoft blog also says that "In preparation for releasing Windows 11 Insider Preview builds to the Beta Channel later this summer, we are moving PCs that do not meet the hardware requirements for Windows 11 in the Beta Channel to the Release Preview Channel. Some of these PCs may be able to move back to the Beta Channel, but at their own risk. See the above chart for details."

    So think what can happen in the dev channel!

    Why do I receive an email,

    Hi Windows Insider,
    In preparation for releasing Windows 11 Insider Preview Builds to the Beta Channel later this summer, we are moving PCs that do not meet the minimum system requirements for Windows 11 in the Beta Channel to the Release Preview Channel.
    Based on our data, your PC doesn’t meet the minimum system requirements. To ensure a better flighting experience, it will be moved from the Beta Channel to the Release Preview Channel automatically so you can continue enjoying the Windows 10 Insider Preview build features. No action on your end is necessary.

    But my laptop intel i7 10th gen settings -> update security -> windows insider program is under DEV Channel

    Anything wrong ??

    Hey people,

    A lot of replies here are telling others to enable Trusted Platform in UEFI but most of desktops/motherboards DO NOT HAVE a Trusted Platform Module. I'm not sure about laptops.

    CHECK to see if a module installed is the first step.

    Most reasonable mobo's will have a TPM header so purchasing a module is not expensive and can be installed and set up in minutes. Check the mobo to see how many pins the header has and get an appropriate module.

    Hello, there!

    While upgrading Windows 11 or adding some features will give your PC a fresh start. If you do not wish to lose your third party applications ; you might need to back up your files in a removable drive and un-plug it from the PC and then you can upgrade your Windows 10 to Windows 11 without a problem!
