Preparing for Insider Preview Builds of Windows 11 - ***UPDATED 6/28***

I'm planning to investigate this on my machine when I get home tonight, but I'm curious.... Have you previously ran any kind of drive encryption in the past that may make the tool think you don't have enough drive space?

It sure would be nice if the tool said WHY it doesn't meet specs when it rejects it. After all, it detected a specific rule problem so why not report the detail?

Thanks. But I'm not really in a rush at the moment. I've been on Windows Insider since before there was such a program when they used to send free Microsoft Branded stuff like laptop bags coffee mugs, pens, Etc to us.:-) I'm more concerned with being stuck in a year having to choose to either spend over $2000 to get a new laptop with the same features and capabilities I have now, sacrifice some features I use now, or stick with win 10. None of these options seem right. I really hope that enough people in similar situations get them to back off on the specs list because I'm certain my machine will outperform many on the list with the minimum requirements for a few more years.

With that said, I keep reading of people don't have the same trouble installing on other machines that don't meet the requirement, and others that can't install despite meeting all of the requirements. I just remembered that until two years ago I was using whatever truecrypt's successor's name was. I wonder if I don't have some encrypted file structure stuff hidden in the background that I can't see that leaves Windows thinking that there isn't enough drive space available that's really available. If so, I may have inadvertently found a bug and I'm curious if some of the others who can't install despite meeting the specs may have had 3rd party encryption at some point in the past..... Lol I'm going to investigate this route a little bit and if I resolve it I'll post about it.

My processor is not in that liste to of processor supported but i joined the insider dev build beforce 24 june for try install but the good new is working perfect without problem my cpu is the I7 7700K.

Im insider by like 2015 so i can by passe the recommended config on dev channel hope it same for you.

In my uefi i can use my mouse for control it idk if the uefi mat is the uefi without mouse im not good on that .

I'm assuming it won't run because my processor isn't on the list of supported processors. Why that's the case I'm not entirely sure. From everything I can tell, Core i5 6200u facts appear to match up or exceed several of the other approved processors. But it didn't make the list, most likely because of the age. I really can't find any other reason unless I'm just overlooking something obvious. I guess I'm just going to be stuck driving it until the wheels fall off because I refuse to buy an inferior machine or spend over $2,000 just so I can run Windows 11
