Preparing for Insider Preview Builds of Windows 11 - ***UPDATED 6/28***

Yes, thisis absolutely not a technical requirement, but a commercial trick where Microsoft SEVERELY restricted the list of processors , to just those that were RELEASED less than 4 years ago (independantly of their capabilities, speed/requency, number of cores, instruction sets supported).

Microsoft just more care about Xeon processors (used mostly on servers).

This  compatibility program, made by the Microsoft chinese team, is definitely tweaked by the Chinese interests to sell new processors and mobos, even if they have profited a lot of the COVID and sold a lot (and prices have increased).

This is a stupid program based on secret commercial arrangements and absolutely not based on technical bases.

Microsoft China is guilty !

My Pc is largely sufficient, Intel Core i7 (8 cores at 3.9 Ghz), 24 GB RAM, TPM 2.0 enabled and running in Win10, all security features in Win10 running (except that I jsut don't want to backup all my documents on OneDrive! I use other competing solutions)

In fact the list of processors is MUCH too restricted (and not based at all on their capabilities, or lack of features or specific instructions that have never been described as requirements and that are still not documented as being required).

You just require TPM 2.0, but TPM 2.0 is already up and running (it was difficult to enable it at start of Win10, but the mobo manufacturer provided a BIOS update that solved the problem); as well HVSI is enabled and running.

Also my desktop PC does not have any wifi or Bluetooth device (this should not be needed at all for desktops/servers that jsut need an Ethernet cable adapter, and mine is fine with its 1gigabit/s speed); not needed for security at all, the PC won't move!

I also have plenty of RAM (24GB), plenty of storage (128 GB on SSD, plus a RAID of 6 hard disks 1TB, plus other storage on NAS on the LAN)

I also have a DirectX 12.1 graphic board (nVidia).

All is up to date. No missing updates in Win10. And it has been running Win10 Insider Dev (all builds) since long.

Really the new compatiblty check program has severe bugs (or just a malware program made by the Microsoft team in China), it does not really check what is needed, and does not even detail what's wrong ! This is just fake, a stupid lie by omission.

that's kind of a bummer I wonder why they did that :( they really should make the list bigger to support more CPU's

I think I have a solution:

This same thing happened to me, so

I decided to mess with the BIOS until I turned on Windows 10 WHQL (which enabled UEFI) (on Windows Configuration) and TPM (on Security) in the BIOS.

These settings weren't on by default for my motherboard.

And it worked for me.

I have a Radeon RX 580 and an AMD Ryzen 2700X.

Yes, it seems the app checks for the soft floor instead of the hard floor.
That is why my i5-6200U was reported as incompatible.
Good to know that the installer does not check.
It means I will be able to upgrade.

I have laptop Dell Precision 3510 with TPM 2.0 support and Secure Boot is enabled.

When I install and run Health Checker on Windows 11 it show that I can't run Win 11 on this PC.

Is there also some settings that must be OK (Cloud Backup, OneDrive) before you get correct result?
