Preparing for Insider Preview Builds of Windows 11 - ***UPDATED 6/28***

***UPDATE***

For users who are receiving the following message in your Windows Insider Settings:

Your PC does not meet the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11. Your device may continue to receive Insider Preview builds until Windows 11 is generally available, at which time it is recommended to clean install to Windows 10.

We've made an update to Settings to resolve some issues. Please reboot your device to ensure you have the latest update.

    Windows is not free

    there is no free unlimited license for Windows.

    When Microsoft offer free upgrades, it requires a license from the previous version.

    Or you can test it within a VM running in Hyper-V Server 2019 (free unlimited licence, supported on many more processors), or in the version of Hyper-V inside Windows 10 Pro.

    It works with the virtual TPM inside the hypervisor. In that case you will not use thé Windows 11 version of Hyper-V...

    Nothing you can do, other than wait and see what happens at launch.

    you have a 7th generation CPU which is not on the list of supported processors.

    Microsoft is currently looking at windows 11 on unsupported devices, the minimum hardware requirements may (or may not) change at launch.

    to join the Dev channel and test pre-release versions of windows 11 at the moment, the device must meet the currently published minimum specs.
