For users who are receiving the following message in your Windows Insider Settings:

Your PC does not meet the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11. Your device may continue to receive Insider Preview builds until Windows 11 is generally available, at which time it is recommended to clean install to Windows 10.

We've made an update to Settings to resolve some issues. Please reboot your device to ensure you have the latest update.

    nice machine.

    Unfortunately the processor, launched in 2015, has been discontinued by Intel, I would guess that it is unlikely to make it to the windows 11 list of supported CPUs

    I'm surprised that won't run the insider preview of Windows 11. My preview runs on VirtualBox the host is 10 years old, legacy bios 1st gen i5 750. Windows 10 (on the Dev channel) upgraded to Windows 11 without a problem, took a while though.

    The latest build has just been applied today.

    Have you been on the Dev channel for Windows 10 prior to 24th June? If not I'm sure you will get it later, but not sure what the way forward will be after the public release.

    I have a Fujitsu t936 with a core i5 6200u that isn't on the spec sheet.

    I have 16gig memory on a 512gig Samsung Evo ssd. 3M cache, 2 core 4 thread, DDR4 2133, etc. This was a $2k+ machine, has tpm 2.0, dual digitizer touch screen with ultra high res display, flip around screen converts to tablet. Runs 3 monitors when at home. Has Fingerprint sensor for windows hello, built in 4G along with the traditional wifi, gig ethernet, etc and is very slim but rugged enough to have survived a couple concrete stair drops along with a drive off with the laptop on top of the car incident.

    I've found several supported machines that can't hold a candle to this thing even though it's 5 years old. And I'm not replacing a $2000 laptop just to have win11. I think they're been micro... soft in their decision making here, letting many devices that can't run it well upgrade while not allowing machines that can, upgrade.

    When the minimum requirements first came out for Windows 10 the storage size was small (and still is) but as you point out actually using Windows 10 in real life requires significantly more storage.

    I wouldn't go for less than 256GB for either of them.

    As to why your spec won't run Windows 11 I wouldn't know. What does the Heath Checker show,

    I just don't understand this.A 64 gig hard drive is about $10 less than 256Gig. And I can't even imagine a person that what's to beta test an operating system having a machine that meets all the other specs but only has a 64 gig hard drive. Once you install Windows and Microsoft Office along with a browser and temporary internet while usage, your 64 gig is gone. So I just don't understand this 64 gig minimum requirement. Or why anybody wouldn't be able to meet it. Meanwhile I have this processor which has Superior specs too many the processors on the approved list, 16 gigs of RAM, two terabyte hard drive, and I'm unable to upgrade. So I'm a little annoyed at the moment and I apologize
