For users who are receiving the following message in your Windows Insider Settings:

Your PC does not meet the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11. Your device may continue to receive Insider Preview builds until Windows 11 is generally available, at which time it is recommended to clean install to Windows 10.

I was puzzeled that myPC did not meet the requirements.

(AMD 1700X, MSI Mortar B450, RTX 2060, 16 GB, plenty ssd space and TPM enabled )

Turns out that some CPU's are not supported.

    Here's a link to supported AMD cpu's. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-amd-processors

Some sources says that Windows 11 might support more cpu's later...

I will keep on trying. Best of luck to everyone! :-)

Windows 11's taskbar rightmost click to show the desktop button is now a thin line, the original mouse can move to the bottom right corner anywhere click to return to the desktop, now you need to look carefully for that thin line.

Did you try changing the position of the laptop ? Sometimes there can be a block to a vent that keeps it cool. Do not recommend putting some laptops on soft material that might prevent vents from allowing air into the devices.

You may want to click on the 'other gear' (the one with the check mark) or press the Windows key and type Windows Tools this will open a panel that will allow you to get to the 'Control Panel' (more familiar) where you an get to Power Options.

Who said I was sad about the experience? Sorry, but all I wanted to know was how to verify my identity since I could not find it in Windows 11 so that I could do a backup. I know where to find it in Windows 10, but Windows 11 seems to have either left it out, or moved it and I think I looked everywhere. I do use online backup to OneDrive, but I like a second one periodically - and external drives are not expensive.

The sad experience comment was a response to a different post. If you look at the emails they send you will most times see the name of the person for whom the response was made. Not necessarily you (not sure why that happens).

With regard to ID ? do you mean what drive you are backing up to ? The name of your computer ? If you want to know about You, then you need to go to Settings (the gear) and in the panel that shows up click on Accounts. Then review or sign in for further information.
