For users who are receiving the following message in your Windows Insider Settings:

Your PC does not meet the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11. Your device may continue to receive Insider Preview builds until Windows 11 is generally available, at which time it is recommended to clean install to Windows 10.

We've made an update to Settings to resolve some issues. Please reboot your device to ensure you have the latest update.

    If the Windows 11 update gets stuck at 61% try removing your Conexant Audio driver. I found this post that suggested this and it worked for me.

    Well, it started to install. However it stopped at 61%, has been stuck there for 2 hours. I tried restarting the PC and the Win11 update, still gets stuck at 61%. bummer

    Had nothing else todo or change ... after i was on Dev Channel all worked with the update. Not one problem while downloading or installing it. Was already back on Windows 10 yesterday to try again if i´ll get it again since many people got problems and can´t download it.

    And for the thing with many computer/notebooks wont work, dunno we just have to wait with what Microsoft will come up. I mean just look bout the specs with 1GHZ ... even our Toaster have that much power already xD... Think more this is just a try to get many people into the Insider for checking what needs to be done on Microsoft side or the other Companys (like ASUS ... ) to get all working. For example my Notebook shows me in Win10 all bout TPM 2.0 in Hardwaresecurity, but in Windows 11 Preview it doesn´t show up. Only Microsoft knows that for know. I just don´t think they will risk to **** to much people off, that would not not end well for them.

    if the device does not meet the specs at the time windows 11 is launched you will need to clean install windows 10.

    from the blog mentioned in the op

    "Once Windows 11 is generally available, these PCs will be opted out of flighting and will not be able to receive future Windows 11 Insider Preview builds. These PCs must clean install back to Windows 10"

    "I just want to use better software."

    then wait until it is launched. pre-release versions are likely to contain bugs and issues that could result in data loss.

    windows 10 will be supported until (at least) 2025 and, of course, will continue to work beyond that.

    Trojaner,

    Well I was able to select dev option, but after 10% of dl it went to pc check. I failed, it stopped.

    How were you able to dl and install?

    I have read about the reg edits to use but I have yet to try them out. I am afraid that farther down the road, MS will force me to return to w10. This was mentioned in another article. MS will use you then divorce you after they get the intel they want.

    I just want to use better software. I have nothing on my machine to really worry about security wise. I have never trusted pc's enough to become that dependent on them. If my machine gets compromised, I just erase drive and re-install OS fresh.
