Can see some issues for users and bios settings. Good to hear that many have gone back to defaults and it fixed the problem. Not so easy for the gamers or the system tweakers that have favorite settings. Different manufacturers also use slightly different formats and wording.

Because TPM was not installed in a lot of desktops that have a slot for it the setting will not appear until you actually install the module. Do not see a PTT alternative either.

Really would like to know if my motherboard with an i7 6900 chip would work if I switched it out to one of the Xeon chips listed in the 'approved' list. It is a socket 2011 and I don't see any reference to that socket being a disqualifier.

Would be helpful it Microsoft would clarify why the cut off is at the 8 gen chip level . How do we know what generation the Xeon processors are ?

    so.. im going to cry,
my new computer, is pretty much bricked, from this build....

after install and running all morning and afternoon,

the mouse started to flicker.... i was like weird, let me check my drivers and such,
uninstalled Logitech's m60's driver went to update it via windows update... first.. before i even got there....

black screen with the prompt something went wrong gathering information.....
now... i get a dos | PowerShell looking black screen with a _ underscore as the the cursor or where you'd start to type..
and it hangs for about 6 minutes... then goes to my bios boot screen and hangs there . with no response to any keystrokes...

i have tried changing my hard drives around and used my other computer to test those drives to insure they work,
they do... well one does... haven't got to check again, cause i sat on the phone with support for 2 hours just to keep having them tell me i must be pirating the software cease it hasn't been released anywhere... pretty much calling me a liar... felt awesome...

now im going to check the other drive for issues and try to install win10 from this computer im on now...
and hope that fixes the issue but from what i can tell....

i wont even be able to get past the the mother boards boot screen to find out nor does it seem that i will be able to press any buttons to by pass the current actions

i've also tried booting from my recovery image via usb.
im at a loss cause i just built this computer for Christmas and my birthday was the 24th the day of announcement have been SO EXCITED just to have it trash my baby... so sad and i cant even get someone on the phone with the knowledge base to even help me with the stuff i don't know,
just to add i am google IT customer service certified.... so by no means ... am i ignorant to technology... just don't know how to get anywhere other then a stuck boot screen. if any ideas or help it would be much appreciated

******@outlook.com - my perianal email for my home pc, i can access but its generally only for that pc..
******@gmail.com is the email to my phone... witch would get to me quickest...
and i wouldn't mind giving my number to someone that may have a lil more knowledge about the boot process,
and how i could remedy my issue.... or guide me in a direction to correctly deduct the hardware issue because I'm assuming that's what it is...
though i couldn't be sure i have no data to go on...

as for feedback out side the bricking of a PC well above requirements,
i loved it, it ran well, looked nice... and was an experience i was happy to have had...
but sadly if i cant fix this and i have to rebuild my PC i will forever leave windows behind, and make sure anyone i do IT work for doesn't touch it, the User experience for the support team complete turned me off.... and made feel like ****... and the lack there of, for places to find help for this build and release sucks.

but still good job on it tho... i can admit when something looked and felt nice. kudos to that effect..... negative kudos for the customer service.
