Preparing for Insider Preview Builds of Windows 11 - ***UPDATED 6/28***

Wow  @EddieL  So  your  now  confirming  that  Windows  11 rtm  WILL  NOT  Install  on  any  CPU   that's  lower  than  8th  Gen  Intel  or  lower  than  AMD  Ryzen  gen  2 ???

That's  a  ballsy  move  by  Microsoft , way  to  alienate  a  huge  amount  of  end  users, especially  with  the  current  state  of  chip  availability.

Also  a  massive  slap  to  load  of  Microsoft  Surface  users  who  invested  not  an  insignificant  amount  of  monies.  

Hopefully  this  hard  / soft  level  or  system requirements  will  evolve  as  we  move  through  insider,   beta,   and  RTM.

From what I understand as well as the problem of having TPM at 2.0 there are many recent processors that are not supported, I have a 3.4Ghz I5-3470 (choice dictated by the madness of your CEO or do you think that sending many pc will you be a greener company that respects the environment?) that does not appear in compatible ones, do you realize Microsoft that by doing so you have decreed the death of Windows 11 before even seeing it born? how many insiders do you think can test it if they can't install it on their computers? At this point it doesn't even make sense to stay in the Insider Program, a nice formatted one and you go back to the stable version of Windows 10

I have a 6700HQ, which easily meets the minimum requirements, but is not on the list of supported processors.  Why is there an arbitrary list of supported processors? it doesnt make sense to exclude a processor that is certainty capable of running the new OS.  

I was unable to find out why my PC was not being supported for windows 11, I have a TPM 2.0, DirectX 12, 16GB of Ram, 256GB NVMe drive, Secure Boot is enable , Bios is UEFI , 1080p display.  The Processor is a 4 core  8 thread CPU at 2.6GHz, so why is it not on the list? please provide details

Been looking over the supported Intel processor list, and shocked that my daughter i7-6700 is shut out but the Pentium Silver J5005 makes the cut.

This can't be right, the PC parts market is all over the place atm, and this will only add to the problems, has Microsoft done deals with AMD and Intel to lockout older hardware?

Panos and his presentation today kept on about the inclusive ideology , and stressed that Windows 11 was for everyone, across all devices, shame he meant that only was for Cpu's that were less than 4 years old :(
