Clean Install of Windows 11 Ni Preview Build works with Build 22557, but not with 22563, 22567, 22572, 22581, 22593, 25115

I created all 5 installation ISO files for all 5 Builds, but only 22557 contains all the system Apps required for a full clean install, the other 4 are missing all the basic Windows and System Apps needed for a functional system. Also, the App required for opening Windows Security (Microsoft.SecHeatlthUI) is missing, all this makes the resulting system unusable.

Last one on 22557.

I noticed another issue common to all the Ni builds, if they are used for an upgrade or in-place they may only work correctly if they are done online allowing the check for updates.

If I use the option "Change how Setup download updates" to "Not right now", the upgrade or update in place still completes, but it creates a problem on subsequent W.U.

In this case W.U. goes in a loop trying to Download and Install the same Build over and over. Error 0xc1900401 is logged in that case.

I could not find a way out of that loop.

If I do the same upgrade or update in place online letting the Setup check for updates, as recommended, the process may complete correctly without subsequent W.U. loop issues, but the behavior is inconsistent depending on how the previous update was done.

The official MS Insider ISO 22579 includes all the required Apps and the Microsoft.SecHealthUI which is needed for opening Security.

    Hi Sibro,

    I just tried a clean install with the 25120 ISO downloaded from uup-dump.

    I can see all the apps listed by the P.S. command, right after the install completes, but they just don't seem to work. then when I check again, many are gone including SecHealthUI. See the list below of the ones left.

    Many of the apps that were installed originally have been removed. 😎😎😎😎😎😎

    The ISO downloaded from uup-dump is again useless. There is a process that removes the Apps😒

    AppReadiness service uninstalling the Apps? Perhaps the ones on the uup-dump ISO don't pass the test?

    Here is after an Update/repair in place with the same UUP-Dump ISO:

    Now the apps show up again. You can see that the list is much longer. 🤣🤣🤣

    They all show as new in the start menu. 🤷‍♂️

    Edit:

    I rebuilt the ISO using converter 79r as suggested, used the new ISO and did a clean install again on the same box that previously had the apps missing.

    This time all the needed apps where present and working including SecHealthUI. 👍

    Did not see any "Sideload" policy messages with

    Get-AppxLog -All

    Since the changes of 79r did the trick, hopefully will be incorporated on the regular download script for the next Dev Build download. 😉

    Finally, in the evening of 5/24/2022 I managed to get 25120.1010 built as you can see here:

    Still, it reported several different errors during the process, see 2 of those below. 😒

    I still cannot understand how you get 25120.1010, it kept failing for me and for Johnny too.

    IDK, I didn't see any errors, I'll try again just to satisfy my curiosity.
