Clean Install of Windows 11 Ni Preview Build works with Build 22557, but not with 22563, 22567, 22572, 22581, 22593, 25115

I created all 5 installation ISO files for all 5 Builds, but only 22557 contains all the system Apps required for a full clean install, the other 4 are missing all the basic Windows and System Apps needed for a functional system. Also, the App required for opening Windows Security (Microsoft.SecHeatlthUI) is missing, all this makes the resulting system unusable.

Last one on 22557.

I noticed another issue common to all the Ni builds, if they are used for an upgrade or in-place they may only work correctly if they are done online allowing the check for updates.

If I use the option "Change how Setup download updates" to "Not right now", the upgrade or update in place still completes, but it creates a problem on subsequent W.U.

In this case W.U. goes in a loop trying to Download and Install the same Build over and over. Error 0xc1900401 is logged in that case.

I could not find a way out of that loop.

If I do the same upgrade or update in place online letting the Setup check for updates, as recommended, the process may complete correctly without subsequent W.U. loop issues, but the behavior is inconsistent depending on how the previous update was done.

The official MS Insider ISO 22579 includes all the required Apps and the Microsoft.SecHealthUI which is needed for opening Security.

    Hi fg,

    Found a workaround for now, real pain. You have to download two scripts, the first one as usual. Grab secondary script by changing to Any Language as shown in picture (time consuming). It will create a secondary script for all the Store Inbox Apps. I copied the original script files into this new folder and compiled as normal. End result, it worked.

    Its still a no go with "uup-converter-wimlib-79.7z". Same again with script, no Store, Settings etc.

    Hi Sibro,

    I had a little complicated process trying to keep one machine at build 22000.588 that was previously on Beta.

    I switched it to Release Preview, but that was not enough, it was still offering to upgrade to 22581.1.

    I had to unenroll from insider and reboot a couple of times and it still showed Download and update to 22581.

    I had to suspend updates, reboot, then resume updates and check for updates again and finally W.U. stopped offering to download and update to 22581. 🤣

    At that point I rejoined insider R.P. and rebooted again, it was finally happy to stay at 22000.588.

    Now I finally got what I wanted:

    R.P. with 22000.588

    Beta with 22581.100

    Dev with 22581.100

    Never easy and straightforward! 🙃

    Hi fg,

    Regarding the discussion between you and suat.cini

    I believe he used the "restore from another device" option during OOBE.

    As a new device, I don't get the Store nor Settings. Did you see the screenshot? I don't have it anymore.

    I get the Store and a working Settings app after running wsreset -i
