System Requirements for Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit Build 16237.1001?

Hi @ All and Support,

I have Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit Build 16193.1001 installed and reused the ISO to fix anything that may have been wrong and it installed just fine.

However, I can't seem to install 64-Bit Build 16237.1001 on this computer.

I do have 32-bit Build 16237.1001 installed on another Hard Drive this computer and it is running just fine except for bugs not related to installing.

Why doesn't the 64-Bit version install?

    Pursue the error code, of course.  A very similar code at

    suggests the line of thought to follow, although the code in the link involves installed software which doesn't apply to a clean installation, of course.  Anyway, Bing the exact code and see if you can find it.

    I got an error trying to install the Insider Preview via the Mount function and when it failed it gave a better idea.

    The article is about Atom Clover Trail cpus, not Core 2 cpus so, while interesting, it does not apply to your issue.  

    This hardware aging issue is nothing new, of course.  The panic described in the article is about a family of cpus that are not actually very old.  My thought is that the wave of cheap, small Windows 8 tablets of just a few years ago were never going to be long-lived except in their original W8 configurations.  I have a couple that I have tried to maintain as Windows 10 Home devices and there always seems to be something going wrong.  The one with 1GB of ram could not upgrade to Creators Update via WU with stock W10 so the trick turned out to be to set it up in Slow Ring.  Then it upgraded, although it does it in stages and takes all afternoon to do it.  It continues to upgrade and is now running 16232.  But it upgrades slooooowly.

    I have a desktop with an Asus P5K-E and a Core 2 quad cpu that I am using to run 64bit Home build 16241 on so I am pretty familiar with your specs.  This is a classic example of why it is so helpful to post the kind of hardware info we were asking for.  By coincidence you got a reply from a user pretty familiar with your configuration.  Me.

    Your issue is not about system specs.  It obviously has been running 64bit previews on the partition you are trying to upgrade.  Your question is about the specific build you are trying to install.  Make sure you disconnect all usb peripherals that are not needed to operate the computer.  Also remove any SD cards you might have left in the slot.  In other words run with as bare bones a system as you can.  Apparently 16241 breaks something that was working for you before.  Be sure to report this issue in the Feedback Hub and include a link for this thread in your commentary.

    Does the same error happen if you clean install build 16232 using an iso created from the Insider ISO site?  16232 was just posted on the site a few days ago.  If that installs OK then you can set to Fast Ring and try to update to 16241 via WU again.
