I just got the problem on Beta 22623.1325 right after it updated Windows Web Experience Pack to the version below:

Thanks, It was working in my non-compliant vm till I updated Store apps, guess I forgot. Once Web Experience updated, it broke Widgets after the CU was installed.

They used to list the version directly in Store. No wonder I hate MS so much. Apples anyone 🤣😂

In this failing case widgets did not open, otherwise you could see the version of Windows Web Experience Pack right in the widget's settings. 🤣😎

On this machine, it updated to the failing version of W.W.E.P even before updating the Windows build.

It was still at 22621.1194 when the failing updated version of Windows Web Experience Pack from the MS Store showed up and started the trouble right away. Looks like nobody even tried it before releasing it. 😜🤷‍♂️

Surprised that it still puts the info on the icon. 🤣🤷‍♂️

Here goes a second desktop, at this point Widgets already failed, before KB5022913 was installed.

Apparently, this WWEP is changing the OS really deep, messing up more than just Widgets. For example, TaskbarX doesn't work on RP nor Beta anymore after the update, not even enabling taboo's features. 😒

Uninstalling it doesn't fix anything, the damage has already been done. 🤬

And I didn't keep a previous backup. 🤦‍♂️
