Edge Side Bar

I do see a slight difference in the ellipsis menu. I cannot account for that. As for Vertical, the only difference is you have the collapse icon, that WAS in 182. This is Win11, that never had it.

What's changed is in 182. The Edge GA Edge Bar, now, is this, if not or before being personalised; Weather is gone as is the collapse icon, which didn't last very long).

I think you need glasses, beside the shape of the search slot, the 2 menus on my screen shots are quite different with different options. 🤣🤣🤣

Also, on my 25182, none of the 4 versions of Edge has the Edge bar anymore, not the old nor the new. It is gone completely. 🤷‍♂️

As for the collapse button, you only get it if you move the edge bar completely to the right of the desktop to the point that the vertical row with the tools and settings show up on the right side of the widget's images.

To repeat, I have the same latest versions as you of all 3 Edges. The Edge Bar is with GA, BUT in 182 it will not personalise, attempts to make changes are to no avail.

It WILL personalise in Win11.

Yes, didn't catch all the differences, for example my Search Only Layout is square, not rounded.

Hang on... I just clicked on the Vertical Edge Bar and the controls switched to the right & now the collapse button is there. Nope, this freaky... it's back to the way it was.

And my Sys Tray icon is the same as you show.

I just added a comment on my last post, the collapse button only shows when the controls are on the right side 🤣🤣🤣

If I move it the button disappears.

As for the shape of the search slot, it has nothing to do with the taskbar.

I got both the new and the old type on the same Windows 11 machine, just a different version of Edge.

Today in the GA version of Edge the "Show sidebar" button in settings and the Browser Sidebar popped up on every machine where it was missing before, including Windows 10 19044.1947.

Looks like they took action based on the various FBH reports filed last week. 😉
