Update Error in Windows 10 21H1 ( OS Build : 19043.899 )

While updating to the 2021-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H1 for x64-based Systems (KB5001330) ,

the following error is displayed 

searching the solution for this error on the internet , it was said to run the cmd command and Perform SFC & DISM Scans

after performing the DISM scans 

the following error is displayed 

and after this 

again running the DISM Scans , it Showed ALL OKAY WITH NO ERROR IN THE DISM Scan 

After the Shutdown of the system and again I started it and checked for the windows update , but after downloading and installing the same error : 0x800f0984 is displayed 

" One question in my mind : Is this update " 2021-03 Cumulative Update Preview for windows 10 version 21H1 for x64-based systems ( KB5000842 ) "  installed successfully ? and

what is the cause of the error in installing this update : " 2021-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H1 for x64-based Systems (KB5001330) " .

still getting an error installing CU update, this time the KB5001330 update, getting the 0x800f0984 error:

I get the exact same error if I try to update from 19043.899 to 19043.928.

I kept a backup copy of 19043.899 specifically to test for the fix of Download Error – 0x800f081f, but now I get the new error as you show above 0x800f0984.

I got around this error in different different ways:

1. Starting from 19043.867 and bypassing the update to 19043.899 I went directly to 19043.906 and then to 19043.928
2. I did the update using an Installation ISO.
3. Starting from 19042.906 W.U. to 19042.928 then 21H1 enabler package to 19043.928.

It seems to work fine if you find a way that avoids the update to .899.

Build 19043.928 is now out with a fix for this.

• We have resolved an issue where some Insiders were getting an 0x800f081f error when attempting to install an early version of KB5000842. If you continue to hit an issue with the final version of KB5000842 update, let us know via Feedback Hub.

Too bad 19043.928 did not fix this bug, if you try to update from 19043.899 to 19043.928 you get another error. Instead of 0x800f081f you now get 0x800f0984.

I see another user in this forum (carlos.mendes) reporting this new error too.

Hi Johnny, thanks for the help. But the update catalog does not show that update for my windows version 21H1 :/

Use the one for 20H2, there is no difference in kb5001330, only you have the Enablement Package as I do in RP. To let you know as well, I could opt out of Insider with this CU as currently on 19043.928 and did opt out, back to the Get Started button in Insider page. It did take 2 reboots to fully opt out.

Edit: To clarify, 20H1, 20H2 and 21H1 are all based on 19041.1 with Enablement Packages.
