I didn't time mine, but it was lightning fast! All the Win 11 updates have been like that.

I'm still seeing a Random Write Speeds difference between Win 10 and Win 11.

Below with my 970 EVO Plus NVMe 1TB, with Win 10 the random write is 850MBs, and in Win 10 .160 (just like .132) it is around 200MBs, a drop of over 600MBs.

I even tried the Samsung NVMe drivers (version 3.3) and had the same results.

So there is "something" that Win 11 is doing to significantly lower the Random Wite speeds.

Do you have the latest device drivers https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/download/consumer/

It's possible that Samsung doesn't have Win 11 optimized drivers, open a Chat session with Samsung.

I tried the Windows 11 Standard NVMe driver and the Samsung 3.3 driver and it doesn't make a difference on the Random Wite Speeds under Window 11, still around 200MBs.

With Win 10 I tried the included Standard NVMe Driver and Samsung 3.3, and the Standard was 850MBs Random Wite and the Samsung 3.3 driver was 700MBs Random Write.

The whole kb5005189 is just 43MiB, that is why it is a fast update. 😉
