I have an Asus Vivobook 14 X413JA.

Yesterday, I downloaded the windows 11 insider preview build from the dev channel, but I was disappointed to find that windows hello couldn't recognize my fingerprint when I tried to log in.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers of my fingerprint sensor but still, it doesn't work.

I have an Acer Aspire A515-55

Window 11 PRO Version 10.0.22000 Build 22000

I have the same problem with the fingerprint reader

I downloaded the driver for this laptop from Acer and installed it for a fresh install. This did nothing.

Then I followed your instructions and my credential manager was set to "manual". I changed it to "automatic" through a local account then went back to my MS account. I removed my old fingerprint from "Windows Hello" then put a new one in. When I closed the laptop and reopened it the fingerprint reader worked. When I rebooted it would not. It seems it isn't being saved for some reason.

We're investigating the issue. In the mean time, please feel free to add your issue to Feedback Hub. Appreciate your patience.

For me the Goodix drivers were downloaded, once I installed the optional Windows Updates (contained an Asus Firmware in the list).

Go to: Settings -> Windows Update -> Advanced Options -> Optional Updates -> Driver Update.

In the original list I had several "duplicates" from Intel, so only took one of each together with the ASUS firmware.

After this first installation of Windows Updates and a restart, Windows suddenly indentified the Goodix and downloaded the drivers. (also the unknown devices in the device manager started to be correctly identified).

PS: The Intel Graphics card driver I downloaded from ASUS as clearly the windows version had a problem with the screen brightness and going in standby.
PPS: Intel chipset was also updated.

Mee too same model Ryzen 4500U. My finger print reader stopped working when in win 10 if i remember clearly it was either win 10 update or BIOS update. After that no matter how many times i try to install fp driver the device manager doesn't detect it and after win 11 update also no hope. Tried everything including clean install but no hope so far.
