I have an Asus Vivobook 14 X413JA.

Yesterday, I downloaded the windows 11 insider preview build from the dev channel, but I was disappointed to find that windows hello couldn't recognize my fingerprint when I tried to log in.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers of my fingerprint sensor but still, it doesn't work.

I have an Acer Aspire A515-55

Window 11 PRO Version 10.0.22000 Build 22000

I have the same problem with the fingerprint reader

I downloaded the driver for this laptop from Acer and installed it for a fresh install. This did nothing.

Then I followed your instructions and my credential manager was set to "manual". I changed it to "automatic" through a local account then went back to my MS account. I removed my old fingerprint from "Windows Hello" then put a new one in. When I closed the laptop and reopened it the fingerprint reader worked. When I rebooted it would not. It seems it isn't being saved for some reason.

We're investigating the issue. In the mean time, please feel free to add your issue to Feedback Hub. Appreciate your patience.

    Hello,

I'm using a Lenovo YOGA C640-13IML, few days back I updated my system to Windows 11.

Now Fingerprint Sensor doesn't work now.

I checked 'Sign in options' and it says Fingerprint recognition & Facial recognition are currently unavailable.

    Appreciate your help,

    Regards,

I finally got it working. It was on Windows 11 settings. You must go to Windows update, do a check for updates and when is done,

    go down to

Advanced Options, scroll down and Optional updates and drivers updates.

There i found bunch of updates and one of them was Elan fingerprint drivers.

After applying and reboot, i am able to set up and it works.
