I have an Asus Vivobook 14 X413JA.

Yesterday, I downloaded the windows 11 insider preview build from the dev channel, but I was disappointed to find that windows hello couldn't recognize my fingerprint when I tried to log in.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers of my fingerprint sensor but still, it doesn't work.

I have an Acer Aspire A515-55

Window 11 PRO Version 10.0.22000 Build 22000

I have the same problem with the fingerprint reader

I downloaded the driver for this laptop from Acer and installed it for a fresh install. This did nothing.

Then I followed your instructions and my credential manager was set to "manual". I changed it to "automatic" through a local account then went back to my MS account. I removed my old fingerprint from "Windows Hello" then put a new one in. When I closed the laptop and reopened it the fingerprint reader worked. When I rebooted it would not. It seems it isn't being saved for some reason.

We're investigating the issue. In the mean time, please feel free to add your issue to Feedback Hub. Appreciate your patience.

This is the same for me, I have an Inspiron 15500 i5 processor and 11th gen Intel core. I have a fingerprint reader than used to work before I upgraded to Windows 11. Now when I go to security settings, my fingerprint dropdown menu is grayed out and it says that it isn't compatible, when I used to use it just a week ago with Windows 10.
