File Explorer truncated menu across builds

Split from this thread.

Same problem with 27723.1000. File explorer 3 dots menu opens upward regardless of the position of the window.

It truncates the menu when the window is close to the top of the screen.

Note that the View and the Filter menus open correctly downward, it is only the 3 dots menu that opens in the wrong direction. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

    In all the discussion of fixes, have you already received the proposed Microsoft fix... Windows 11 Insider PreviewΒ Build 26120.2222 (KB5046746)

    Yes, but that does not work either. πŸ˜πŸ€¬πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

    Depending on the display Scale and Resolution it still fails the same as it always did.

    Hmmmmmmm.....I'll be curious to see if/how that update impacts mine since my issue doesn't change across all scales and resolutions.

    Hmmmmmmm.....I'll be curious to see if/how that update impacts mine since my issue doesn't change across all scales and resolutions.

    Hard to say, it may vary also with the display adapter.

    On my machine 26120.2222 works if I set the display Scale to 100%, 200%, 300% and resolution to 3840 x 2160.

    But that may be different depending on the machine.

    If they tried to fix the bug, as they claim in the blog of 26120.2222, it seems to be only working in specific configurations. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜œπŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

    @Pilz131,

    See the difference below, both cases with build 26120.2222, the second one just using a different Scale on the display settings gets the menu opening correctly downwards. πŸ€£πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

    Same behavior with 26100.2448, looks like they propagated the same fix attempt from 26120.2222 to 26100.2448.

    In both builds it is not working correctly; it only works for specific cases. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

    Still haven't got the proposed fix/update to see if it does anything for my configuration.
