My screenshot of the menu going up and truncating....
File Explorer truncated menu across builds
Split from this thread.
Same problem with 27723.1000. File explorer 3 dots menu opens upward regardless of the position of the window.
It truncates the menu when the window is close to the top of the screen.
Note that the View and the Filter menus open correctly downward, it is only the 3 dots menu that opens in the wrong direction. πππ
Looks like they are propagating bugs from one build to the other instead of propagating fixes. ππ€¬π€·ββοΈ

2024-10-18T17:10:19+00:00 I can't reproduce this on either my Canary Laptop
or Dev Desktop.
Seems inconsistent, I got it on multiple machines, but not this one, it just upgraded from 23H2 22361.4137 to 24H2 26100.1742 with ISO.
Had to use ISO because W.U. was doing the upgrade on its own last night and failed the update with 0xC1900101.
This menu opens downward. We'll see with next updates, given that I have one in R.P. 26100.2152 that still fails opening upward. π€π€·ββοΈ
Edition Windows 11 Pro
Version 24H2
Installed on β10/β18/β2024
OS build 26100.1742
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.18.0
Edit:
We figured out later that with build 26100.1742 they did not introduce the bug yet. It was done with a later change that was supposed to fix a different issue, and instead it added this silly annoying bug.
This one below has the problem.
Edition Windows 11 Pro
Version 24H2
Installed on β5/β22/β2024
OS build 26100.2152
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.32.0
