Split from this thread.

Sure did. Tried also repair and reset.

It didn't help.

Would be nice to be able to install older versions in cases like this.

Hi Sibro,

I solved the Snipping Tool problem by restoring 25284 and then upgrading to 25295 directly, skipping 25290.1000 and 25290.1010.

Snipping tool works fine now on the same machine that was failing when it went from 25290.1010 to 25295.1000.

Go figure!

What made me suspicious was that error on DCOM 25290.1010.

On my machine it seems to land where I positioned it last time, the size seems always the same.

They once listed the issue as known, I can't find it now. 😒

This is what I mean by random size and position.

Looks like the behavior for you is quite different, with my 4K screens the size of the snip on the screen is always the same, but the file size apparently is not, and cannot be pasted unless I take a snip of a very small area of the screen. 😎

In the last 2 days they had so many problems on the platform, pictures lost, or cannot be pasted.

They are still working on the problems.

This one pasted ok, just a small chunk of the previous shot. 🤣🤣

Here it is after I save it and snip it again.

This is just 10.9KB after saving it. 🤷‍♂️

My picture is over 5mb and posted straight from the Snipping tool, copy your picture which was 884Kbs so what size does it have to be to stop the paste image?

I don't know the size unless I save it.

It loops for a long time on this with the spinning dot, and never manages to paste the shot. 🤷‍♂️
