have the iso image downloads used for clean/repave installs been updated to now contain 9860 instead of original 9841 drop?
You will get an update to Windows 10 Technical Preview soon
We hope you are enjoying the current build of Windows Technical Preview. We promised you’ll get the latest build as soon as it’s available. Today we’re rolling out the first update: Windows Technical Preview build 9860.
If you’re using the computer when the update downloads, you will be prompted to reboot after which you’ll see the “Installing your apps” screen, and then the new build will be ready to use. If you leave your computer plugged in and on overnight, the update will be installed automatically. Once installed, the build number displayed on the desktop will be 9860.
More information about build 9860 can be found here but some of the new features include:
- New notifications through Action Center
- Move apps to other monitors with new keyboard shortcut
- Choose how quickly you receive new builds
Please keep letting us know what you think! We are using your feedback to build Windows 10.

2014-10-23T20:10:25+00:00 This is my second attempt at installing the 9860 build, and I have identical results as and when I first installed 9860 build. I'm missing fonts in Windows along with mail. There are no images either in mail and no matter how many times I try, it will not sync with Gmail. I try to update Windows, and it replies with, I am automatically set to update. When I check manually, all I get is I'm fully up to date.
Going to revert back to the first build.... AGAIN.
Thanks for nothing, whoever said about updating after the install.

2014-10-23T20:18:40+00:00 I'm also unable to update.
Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0xC1900200: fbl_release 9860 Professional.
It gives me the message box that it cannot be installed on a virtual drive.
I'm using Boot to VHD. Which is the same way I tested Win 8 as the various previews were released. So without an ISO of this latest build I'm SOL until there's a preview update that can be installed onto a VHD.
I have tried running regular windows update and have restarted multiple times.

2014-10-23T20:26:45+00:00 Hi Kulu,
Thank you for posting. I was actually one of the users this afternoon who was getting worried to see my computer take unusually longer with those updates, than is normally the case. I am relieved to see our most loved Windows 10 back and running smoothly again.
But one thing strange occurring immediately after this update has been the failure of McAfee Real Time Scanning feature, failing to switch on, rendering the software unable to provide real time online computer security. I hope you look into that aspect as you strive to give us great operating system.
Regards,
Oswell.
Strongly suggest NOT putting unnecessary stuff like McAfee and Norton on Windows 10 Previews!
Cheers,
Drew

2014-10-23T20:31:33+00:00 I have the same problem. But in my case I can't download the update. It's downloading the update since yesterday.
I have been trying to download the new preview build for last 3 days. I am not sure if it is really downloading anything? Is there any way to tell if something is really downloading or the PC Settings is just hanging there waiting for MS Servers to download something?
Go through WU. Check history then Check for updates
Cheers,
Drew
