Today we’re rolling out the first update: Windows Technical Preview build 9860. If you’re using the computer when the update downloads, you will be prompted to reboot after which you’ll see the “Installing your apps” screen, and then the new build will be ready to use. If you leave your computer plugged in and on overnight, the update will be installed automatically. Once installed, the build number displayed on the desktop will be 9860. @ Drew , is it needed every time to quote a bible for saying some poor words? AND: Microsoft is not interested in the flawless working parts of Win 10 but in the problems for solving them. Well, kudos to Microsoft, then, as one can have a hard time finding (any) problems. 1 or 2 minor ones, @ best. And, if there is good noticed on which to comment, that is quite alright, too. 4th OS I've beta tested and it is equally important to the Build team to know what is liked & wanted to be kept or what works or how hard or easy something is, as it is to know the problems. I installed build 9860 manually this morning on Parallels 10 on a late-2012 iMac (took less than an hour to install, which was nice), plus the updates to fix the missing letters fiasco. The build seems to be running smoothly but there's a problem with trying to access the Computer folder - it seems that Windows Explorer just crashes. I can access Documents and the subfolders (and also other PCs on the LAN), but clicking on Computer in the address bar causes the window to close silently, after which the system takes about 15 seconds to recover (maybe restarting Explorer?).
