Today we’re rolling out the first update: Windows Technical Preview build 9860. If you’re using the computer when the update downloads, you will be prompted to reboot after which you’ll see the “Installing your apps” screen, and then the new build will be ready to use. If you leave your computer plugged in and on overnight, the update will be installed automatically. Once installed, the build number displayed on the desktop will be 9860. Hi, great stuff. I've received the notification about the new Preview Build, but when I try to install it I receive the error: "Failed to install the new preview build, please try again later. 0x8007001F" Thanks, Davide I've had 2 different erros on 2 download attempts. Rebooted the laptop and on my 3rd try.

I've downloaded the update and when trying to install it just sits there spinning, what is the time it should take to install the update?

OK I was wondering if I was the only one with that issue of missing letters. They are even missing in the feed back tool.

Is it possible to update the build if it is running on a virtual drive (.vhd)? I received the following message after clicking install: "you cannot install Windows on a virtual drive."

Hi, great stuff.
