If you’re using the computer when the update downloads, you will be prompted to reboot after which you’ll see the “Installing your apps” screen, and then the new build will be ready to use. If you leave your computer plugged in and on overnight, the update will be installed automatically. Once installed, the build number displayed on the desktop will be 9860. Upgrade completed successfully, finished testing our software installs successfully. Had no problems installing and setting up. Good job Microsoft!!

I'm running Windows 10 Technical Preview as a Windows To Go (USB Drive) but it says I cannot upgrade via USB... Any chance of a work around to this problem. Or is there a place to download just the latest update???

Update two machines running on Hyper-V Server 2012 R2. The blank screen lasted for about an hour on each of them, but install was OK> You just might wait. CPU and disk seemed to be low most of the wait time during the install. Maybe down load of additional modules? Only thing that did not upgrade correctly was the Remote Server Admin tools needed to be reinstalled.

Can't update a VM? I'm sure a decent % of people testing Win 10 are using VMs. I haven't seen ANY response from MS on the tons of posts regarding VMs. I have a dynamic .vhd (not VHDX because I couldn't find any 3rd party utilities to manipulate the VHDX format) and this is a bit hard to swallow. On the sunny side, there seem to be so many problems with 9860 I'm kinda glad I have a stable build in 9841;)
