We hope you are enjoying the current build of Windows Technical Preview. We promised you’ll get the latest build as soon as it’s available. Today we’re rolling out the first update: Windows Technical Preview build 9860.
If you’re using the computer when the update downloads, you will be prompted to reboot after which you’ll see the “Installing your apps” screen, and then the new build will be ready to use. If you leave your computer plugged in and on overnight, the update will be installed automatically. Once installed, the build number displayed on the desktop will be 9860.

The 64 bit bus is the show stopper at the moment. It produces a lot of heat and cost a lot to manufacture it to cool it. It probably in hands of the materials and cooling engineers.. For the real software engineer, I don't think they will have a problem producing the drivers, emulators and etc...to get it working. The reason for 8 bit, 16 bit , 32 bit, and 64 bits was because of data representation. The most common data is color representation. For example, JPEG use one of several combination structures to represent a pixel. RGB and intensity is one matrix and the other is location { (X, Y), Pixel Number, and Datums}. The location also include right to left, left to right, top to bottom or bottom to top. The third element is compression or the LOSSY algorithm. The need for 128 bit system can be emulated with compression routines and compression representation (bit structure manipulation). However, you do have a impressive computer hardware setup.
Dear Microsoft, please make windows 10 128 Bit Operating System for the first time in History in the next preview build....See the future now.... Please make changes to the Windows 10 Boot Up Screen Logo and also the change the colour. I am using a Desktop PC. I am using the AMD FX-8320 (8 Core Processors), and please make it optimized for 8 cores and beyond, so that it can take advantage in gaming and performance beyond imagine. Please also have DirectX 12 or more newer version available in Windows 10. My Highest Priority is to see WINDOWS 10 128 BIT OPERATING SYSTEM IN THE NEXT PREVIEW BUILDS...Also take note to change all Windows icons to a fresh new look and also include new desktop wallpaper in Windows 10... Please make this come true... Really Appreciate... Best Regards.
Usually the CPU's come before the operating system and software. I haven't seen any 128bit CPU's on the market but then again, I haven't looked for a CPU in a few months.
