My whole system is all screwed up with the last update that happened today...GGGRRRR

It is important to note for EVERYONE who is having issues. Once your update is done and computer has restarted etc, go to Windows Update and run updates. The issues you are all talking about have been addressed and there are at least 2 updates since the Build 9860 was released. SO, Before you note the problems, make sure you install the updates after the build upgrade. Instructions followed to every detail. But still my trusted antivirus is having trouble to keep Build 9860 on my laptop, secure. It is actually now warning me: Your Computer Is At Risk! Wondering if this issue is specific to my system alone.

This is my second attempt at installing the 9860 build, and I have identical results as and when I first installed 9860 build. [...] Going to revert back to the first build.... AGAIN. [... ] I'll see whether or not I can find the page where is described how to get the complete update, however. It has to do with the folder**...** C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution **...**and to delete the complete content. That's not easy. You must boot, open the CMD window with admin rights and at first use the command**...** ATTRIB [+R | -R] [+A | -A ] [+S | -S] [+H | -H] [+I | -I] [drive:][path][filename] [/S [/D] [/L]] **...**with some of its possible options (for several files/folders). Having success you should be able to download and to install the 9860 update flawlessly. It may also be necessary to set the defender to zero protection and to have no other protection running. I have the same problem. But in my case I can't download the update. It's downloading the update since yesterday. I have been trying to download the new preview build for last 3 days. I am not sure if it is really downloading anything? Is there any way to tell if something is really downloading or the PC Settings is just hanging there waiting for MS Servers to download something? Go through WU. Check history then Check for updates Cheers, Drew

Hi Kulu, Thank you for posting. I was actually one of the users this afternoon who was getting worried to see my computer take unusually longer with those updates, than is normally the case. I am relieved to see our most loved Windows 10 back and running smoothly again. But one thing strange occurring immediately after this update has been the failure of McAfee Real Time Scanning feature, failing to switch on , rendering the software unable to provide real time online computer security. I hope you look into that aspect as you strive to give us great operating system. Regards, Oswell. Strongly suggest NOT putting unnecessary stuff like McAfee and Norton on Windows 10 Previews!
