1st, DO NOT add Norton to Windows 10.
Matter of fact > Programs & Features & make sure Norton is not there. IF it is remove it.
Where are you trying to access the Update Build? Use WU.

We hope you are enjoying the current build of Windows Technical Preview. We promised you’ll get the latest build as soon as it’s available. Today we’re rolling out the first update: Windows Technical Preview build 9860.
If you’re using the computer when the update downloads, you will be prompted to reboot after which you’ll see the “Installing your apps” screen, and then the new build will be ready to use. If you leave your computer plugged in and on overnight, the update will be installed automatically. Once installed, the build number displayed on the desktop will be 9860.

Close that.
> Search > Check update history
Than > Check for Updates & look for the Build update if you don't already see it in history. But, use WU & take whatever is offered THERE

my laptop runs the update for almost an hour like this. Is this okay or there's a problem downloading the file?
To the Topic starter:
You should have added that it may be useful to look at the
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\ReportingEvents.log
for getting a detailed information on what has happened
when updating or only trying to update.

I have windows 8.1 Pro. on a Dell 64-bit laptop with windows 10 preview. I
love 10 ------ few issues. I have Norton Security Suite and it will not work at all,
I have tried 4 times to install the update for Tech Preview I keep getting Can't update 0x8007002c-0x2000 error any ideas on what I should do ?
