We can't reach the Windows Insider Programme right now

Hey, I've signed up for the Windows Insider programme from the website. However, when I go to the Windows Insider tab in Windows Update settings, it gives me the error "We can't reach the Windows Insider Programme right now. Please try again later or check the forums for info".

I've tried restarting my computer (multiple times), disabling my antivirus + firewall, and enabling all diagnostics data to Windows. It still isn't working. Can anyone advise?

    I am getting the same message this morning. I wanted to sign up for the program but I am not able to.

    Hi JackThorn,

    Try doing the following and see if it helps.

    1. Open the regedit
    2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost
    3. On left panel right click that key and delete it.
    4. Close regedit and restart

    Windows will rebuild the folder once you reboot.
