Set up Windows 11 without internet - oobe\bypassnro

Cool, any clue what to do in order to get wifi up and running after the start up? For whatever reason my pc build keeps pestering me about setting up the ethernet cable, but I don't have anywhere to plug that in. The motherboard came with a wifi antenna and that's all screwed in and everything, I've tried downloading drivers on a usb and that didn't work for some reason, and I have no idea what on earth I'm supposed to do next. Here's my build, just throwing this in the void, maybe one of you can help me figure out what's wrong:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor

MOTHERBOARD: Asus PRIME B550M-A WIFI II Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard

MEMORY: OLOy MD4U083016BJDA 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 Memory (2)

STORAGE: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (2)

VIDEO CARD: Gigabyte GV-N105TD5-4GD GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB Video Card

CASE: Deepcool CC560 ATX Mid Tower Case

POWER SUPPLY: Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

BRAIN: Exhausted

It's really simple. With the Shift/F10 feature (on newer laptops), you might also have to use Shift/Fn/F10. (The Fn key)... so anyway, you will or should be at Windows/System32, I believe. Now just change directories to Oobe. Now type in "bypassnro" and watch what happens... It's like magic.

The procedure described on page 1, works perfectly if you are not connected to the network via Ethernet. I just tried it with the installation media 22621.1702 downloaded today from Microsoft.

In the case you are connected it will just proceed to a normal online installation and you will never have the chance to enter Shift + F10 and the command oobe\bypassnro and reboot, in that situation you will never see the message "I don't have internet" option.

It will just ask you to sign in.

If you get to that point, there is still a way to avoid the MS account sign in and create a Local Windows account instead.

ok so after several attempts there is a slight change I discovered on Fusion 13.2

1. <fn><shift><f10> at the user language page, then msoobe /bypassnrm - little change in the format.

I used the net.exe add user and that just got the base OS Running without finishing setup.

My issue is getting the network adapter to properly discovered and connected to the VM after setup

Finally, after several retries the download for 25120.1010 completed, it is now building the ISO.

We'll see how this goes today. 😎

Why would you get an old ISO?

The latest one for Windows 11 Dev is 25179 and in this case is available also at MS insider site.
