Microsoft "Get Updates" Button Not Working

Hello! I have been having problems running Minecraft: Bedrock Edition as every time I try to join my friends realm I get the message, "Outdated Client". I have looked up the problem and I have tried updating my java, ensuring that my windows is up to date, as well as restarting the game and my PC. When I've gone into the Microsoft store library and clicked "Get Updates" the button will just show the spinning animation and no matter how long I wait it will not update. I am unsure how to fix this and I cannot find anything about what to do.

If there is anything else I can do please let me know, I have tried reaching out on other forums but I haven't heard back. I really want to fix this as soon as I can since playing Minecraft is one of the ways my brother and I stay in touch since we live so far apart after I moved. Thank you so much!

When I've gone into the Microsoft store library and clicked "Get Updates" the button will just show the spinning animation and no matter how long I wait it will not update.

Try this: open a command prompt or PowerShell and run this command wsreset -i

There will be a download (Store Experience Host) and the Store will reset itself, be patient and wait a couple of minutes before trying to get updates again.
