Charging Problem in Windows 11

I also had this problem. I am also using a Dell Inspiron 5577 laptop. I also updated the to the latest build of windows.

in the bios i set the charging to standard where it was set to adaptive.

The light on the laptop does not go amber to show it is charging but the level indicator is now going up

Same problem, but with Surface Pro 7.

Charger LED lights up, battery icon shows the plug, but it's not actually charging. Even when the charger is disconnected, the battery icon still shows battery + plug (charging) icon.

I have a Dell G3 15 laptop, which worked perfectly fine until I had the Windows 11 update, after this the battery stopped charging, however still showed it had a power source plugged in and the battery is healthy. I have since changed the charging port, tried a new battery and a new charger which has still not solved the issue. I have also tried disabling the ACPI compliant control method battery etc and still have the same problem and also reinstalling other drivers. The battery is showing at the same charge regardless of all of this. Can anyone advise or help please?

sorry bro but now i don't have Windows 11 installed on my system now. because if my laptop is not charging , i have to switch to WINDOWS 10 in order to use it.

Since Windows 11 is a beta ( preview ) software, there may be glitches and annoyances until it is released to public.

I only wished you had filed a feedback hub report before you restored to your earlier OS.

You may try it again later when bugs are squashed out and rough edges ironed out, if you so wish.
