Since build 20257, the Assassin's Creed Origins, Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Assassin's Creed Valhalla games are no longer launched. I was hoping that build 20262 would fix the problem, but it doesn't. So I have to go back to build 20251 for these games to work.

Yep can confirm this as well, working fine on beta release channel build 19042.685 so have reverted to beta channel until Microsoft fix on DEV Channel hopefully soon especially with the release of the RE-PRELEASE branches builds. Which I'm eager to start trying out especially in the new year.

2020-12-16T01:33:21+00:00 I was playing Valhalla then took a break and installed Windows updates just now. It installed to 20262. I noticed Valhalla no longer works, so I figured I could just rollback like always, but when I clicked the Get Started for the roll back it says: "We're sorry, but you can't go back" "The files we need to take your back to a previous version of Windows were removed from this PC." So I think someone broke the rollback somehow also. Looks like I'm stuck on 20262.
(I was just using this for WSL 2 CUDA stuff for reference, so I'm jumping off insider builds once that makes it into the release).
I have had the exact same issue but with Ori and the Will of the Wisps. I had also enabled the Windows Insider program for the WSL 2 CUDA features and now I'm stuck in it without being able to stay in any stable Windows version. I updated to build 20262, also noticed that this game was crashing everytime at launch, and couldn't go back to the previous build (having updated <10 days before). Now I keep updating hoping it gets fixed but it's not happening.

How did you switch to a previous beta build?
The only way for you to go back to build 19042 is
to get the ISO and do a clean install.
You may have to refresh the page for it to load correctly.
