Some games not launching with builds 20257 and 20262

Since build 20257, the Assassin's Creed Origins, Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Assassin's Creed Valhalla games are no longer launched. I was hoping that build 20262 would fix the problem, but it doesn't. So I have to go back to build 20251 for these games to work.

    Yep, it's Denuvo protected:

    Injustice™ 2 su Steam (steampowered.com)

    Anti-Tampers and Anti-Cheats are implemented in different versions according to the type of the game.

    So it will be very difficult to debug.

    I am able to run Far Cry 5 from Ubisoft which also uses Denuvo so I'm not 100% certain that this is what is breaking it.

    We haven't heard much from Microsoft on this issue (Coming up on 2 weeks).

    It has been broken for 4-5 weeks for me.

    The following crash after the splash screen, when initializing overlays:

    * Assassin's Creed Origins (Steam)

    * Assassin's Creed Odyssey (Steam)

    * Assassin's Creed Valhalla (Ubisoft)

    * Injustice 2 (Steam)

    The following program fails with a clear notice that it's anti-cheat failing:

    * Phantasy Star Online 2 (Windows Store, Steam - both versions)

    Phantasy Start Online 2 is NProtect/Inca.

    BattlEye is working fine on current insider's, Easy Anti-Cheat as well - so I don't think it's either of those.  I can write a small test program with Easy Anti-Cheat to verify, but AC doesn't have folders for either BattlEye or EAC, and usually there's a folder to reinstall it when it becomes damaged and causes games not to start, or the system to blue screen, which happens even without insider builds.

    Devuno, however, was used in Origins and Odyssey although it is not declared on the Steam pages, so I don't know the current status.  Injustice 2 uses Devuno anti-tamper.  And so that appears to be the common thread through the titles.

    Yep can confirm this as well, working fine on beta release channel build 19042.685 so have reverted to beta channel until Microsoft fix on DEV Channel hopefully soon especially with the release of the RE-PRELEASE branches builds. Which I'm eager to start trying out especially in the new year.

    How did you switch to a previous beta build?

    The only way for you to go back to build 19042 is

    to get the ISO and do a clean install.
