Thanks Microsoft for finally fixing the problems with games on dev builds. Can confirm that all my games are now working and finally I can go back to using dev builds. Games fixed for me all the Assassin's Creed franchise and any other games running in Ubisoft connect such as Far Cry franchise watch dogs legion. this is on dev build 21301. Happy gaming peeps.

Since build 20257, the Assassin's Creed Origins, Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Assassin's Creed Valhalla games are no longer launched. I was hoping that build 20262 would fix the problem, but it doesn't. So I have to go back to build 20251 for these games to work.

2021-01-10T17:15:38+00:00 The latest build 21286 still hasn't fixed the issue but lists it as a "known issue" for the first time (although it looks like it's introduced new launch issues for other games too). I really hope this gets fixed soon, it's been almost 2 months without being able to play to some games, and even though we should be expecting some instability from these builds most of us have joined the Windows Insider program for some specific feature (such as Cuda on WSL) and are now stuck inside it with no possibility of leaving without doing a clean install.

BryceSor 5,500 Reputation points Volunteer Moderator2021-01-03T00:00:33+00:00 MS are on holiday so don't expect a new build for a week or two, games having a problem is well known with 21277 so being a gamer have two installs, one on public build to run games and one on Insider to test games.

2021-01-02T06:44:42+00:00 Hi Guys, AC Odyssey problem also here - Was working with previous insider build (Beta Channel) but updated to 21277.1 as beta was being retired and it was either go dev channel or clean install (pass). Definitely windows related as no changes between working with prev build and can't get it to launch with new build.
