ISO file size discussion

The one updated with W.U. shows the correct level of SecHealthUI at 22581, the one that was updated with Home made ISO still shows the old one from 22579.

The machine that was updated with ISO also has the W.U. loop with the error we have seen previously 0Xc1900401, that even if the update/upgrade with ISO was done online letting it check for updates.

Luckily, I didn't get the loop (579 to 581 w/ 3rd party ISO & refused updates)

Lost Windows Background Spotlight as well, default picture only.

That loop on W.U. even happened to me with the official MS ISO 22579, that bug is really inconsistent.

As for the SecHealthUI being the old one from 22579 just confirms that basic stuff is missing on those non official ISOs. 😒

btw: look how much bigger a 3rd party arm64 ISO is compared to amd64 but is still missing all apps and else.

Something has changed on the files they download; they need to figure out how to get the whole new package that includes all the basic Apps. The same issue with the converter scripts for the files downloaded in SoftwareDistribution.

Till then, I'll stick to W.U. or the MS ISO. 😉

No doubt something has changed but as I said on the main thread:

"kind of weird that they would leave the script unfixed for so long, unless there is something MS is doing which prevents them from fixing it."

There won't be another MS ISO anytime soon.

I format a 64 GB flash drive to NTFS so I don't have to worry about the FAT32's limit of 4 GB file size. I've done it several times, it's easy to do, and it works just fine.. Of course there's also the possibility of using an external hard drive.

The install.wim in the MS ISO is too big to fit on a FAT32, so I will have to convert it to install.esd. 🤷‍♂️
