Just to update you:
Copilot Issues
Split from this thread.
On April 6, 2024, I started getting this error message. It was working correctly on April 5 with the new undocked format, but not anymore. π΅βπ«
Looks like they changed something that broke it. π€·ββοΈ
After the error, opening snipping tool to take a shot, crashes explorer.exe.

2024-04-11T04:20:58+00:00 I can't say much. Never spent much time on that part. Just like/enjoying testing, Feedback about like/dislike, works/helps or not. And just the fun of hands-on seeing what MAY be on the horizon.
But all that area is not my pay-grade π Cannot comment about throats. Plus, IBs, especially Canarys, are one thing... what ultimately is in GAs can be so different; things changing, hit & miss, come & go,.. try to roll with the punches is what I see or do. Muck about what what's tossed at me π€£ My interest is to work behind the scenes, ahead of GAs and what of all the time & effort spent on IBs translates to GAs. I find that cool to see & have been involved.
For me, I don't care if it's ON at Start. Other things are, too. What I mind is it OPENING at Startβππ There are things Enable @ Startup that turn ON at the onset (pun not intended) BUT... they are not opening on the screen at the onsetβπ€¨ Just so I can close something, I might not want or need straightaway, from the screen... what sense does that makeβπ
But, indeed, said earlier, there, actually, IS a way to have choice πππ OFF & Win+C.
Cheers,

2024-04-10T23:49:54+00:00 So many different ways to get the same B.S. A.I.
I think they are pushing it down the users' throats even if they don't want it. π€£π€£

2024-04-10T23:34:51+00:00 Good point... Sure, that works ππ Geeez, I, should've thought of that myself π‘ π... of course, it is actually OFF if & when that icon isn't there. It's the same as telling it not to show the icon in Edge which, actually, shuts Copilot off within Edge.
Anyway, cool discovery πwhich, indeed, will not have it opening @ Start. AND, as you say, no harm/no foul since still have Win+C... Can, certainly be User-opened whenever, anytime one, actually, wants Windows Copilot. Plus, one still has Copilot within Edge via Flyout/sidebar or Web.
Cheers,
