Sync issue in Mail app

Windows Insider Dev build 22449.1000. The Mail app is failing to download any messages with the error code 0x80090001. I have tried deleting the email account and entering it again but still the same result. Wi-Fi connection is functioning normally and email via the web browser functions normally.

UPDATE

Now installed new Dev build 22454.1000. The app still does not sync but now no longer shows an error message.

I have tried adding the email account using advanced settings but still no luck.

The same email account works fine on my other computers running both windows 10 and windows 11

    Ok, I installed 22543 over Win 10 1503 and the Mail app continued to work as it should with IMAP accounts.

    I find it weird that this issue and fix was never even listed as a known issue all this time or a fix in the newer build.

    Nothing shown on FBH submission after the initial MS engineer response 5 months ago.

    This is the only one I found from a year ago, if there is one specific from 5 months ago, I could not find it.

    I saw a collection of reports on Mail App problems, maybe it is one of those? 😎

    Welcome to MS world!

    They don't list all the reported or fixed bugs, there are bugs unsolved for years and never listed in the known issues. 🤐
