    This is a personal account. I had this happen on a new install of Windows 11 Pro, but I allowed it to pull down 'settings' or whatever from it's cloud ****.

    This error happed right off the bat. First it downloaded Teams for Work/School which I did not want on this box. That appears to have nothing to do with the problem. Teams Chat (or whatever it's called) keeps auto installing and that seems to be the real problem. If you un-install through the settings menu, it just re-installs within minutes from it's own image which is bad -or- there is a security issue. Looks more like security.

    What fixed it for me finally was:

    * Download the installer from the web, I found it at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/download-app

    * Turn on show hidden files in Explorer

    * Navigate to C:\Program Files\WindowsApps

    * Find the folder that starts with MicrosoftTeams *not* Microsoft dot Teams

    * Open settings app

    * Depending on which windows version, update, and/or parallel universe go to Apps or Programs and Features

    * Search for and find Teams

    * Uninstall it, and as soon as it is done (On mine after hitting uninstall it gave me no feedback that is was uninstalled)

    * Flip back to Explorer and delete the MicrosoftTeamsxxxx folder, as soon as it is deleted

    * Run the installer for Teams

    * Swear that next time you are installing Linux/Gnome (j/k M$ for life)
