Lock screen choices

The only one working for now is weather. Not very consistent either.

Comes and goes without any reason. 😂😂😝

That's interesting. I hadn't/haven't tried any of the others. But I would suppose they are coming, at some point, maybe. I put Weather on Win11 a while back... it doesn't have all the info (yet) on it that I have seen in screen shots of it, as it should be. On that Lock screen it is consistent, does not "come & go" there.

Weather was always available, but now they have a new format that shows on the lock screen, based on a variant of an A/B experimental feature, which may or may not be enabled for every user. 😂😂🤷‍♂️

Enough confusion from MS? 🤣🤣🤣

What’s new in Build 23612Richer weather experience on the lock screen

We are introducing a richer weather experience to your lock screen. This includes dynamic, interactive weather updates. So, as you hover over the weather experience on your lock screen, you will see more information. When you tap or click on the weather card and sign in, Microsoft Edge opens with the full forecast in MSN Weather. If you already use Weather under Settings > Personalization > Lock screen > Lock screen status, there is nothing for you to do. Also, this new experience will be on by default. Should you not want to see this experience, you can change your lock screen status to “None.”  This rich weather experience is available when you lock your screen no matter which personalization option you select (Windows spotlight, Picture, or Slideshow).

After a clean install of 26058 in Canary, I could not get the weather on the lock screen at all, not the old format nor the new one.

So much for MS consistency. 😝🤬

Ok, well, it doesn't show on my 26058 VM Lock screen, even though set to be there.

As for it on the Win11 Lock screen:

It has only Calgary & the temperature not, what is circled in this image Oh, surprise, oops, unexpected appearance upon pasting.

(And) Hovering on it does nothing. Clinking it does go to an MSN Start page with (more) Weather at the top.

Probably enough said about this before someone splits it to a new thread over this one wee item.
