The automated responses on the support site ask me to create a Service Request, which I have done multiple times over the past 2 months. Yet no one responds to the requests. It feel like the requests go into a black hole. How can I speak to someone on the phone at Microsoft Rewards about an issue?

File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against Microsoft. This is what I did and mines has been fixed.

Yeah the Microsoft Rewards program is very broken and poorly supported. I only got my issues resolved after months of hounding them via the better business bureau which did eventually force them to let me redeem all my points.
Funnily enough, my "restriction" was randomly lifted a few months back, as I was able to redeem a few points. I've barely bothered to get any rewards points since or to redeem any - but tried to redeem today and it said:
"Your Microsoft Rewards account isn't following the rules you agreed to when you joined the programme. Review these policies in the Microsoft Services Agreement governing the programme which you accepted when joining."
What absolute tosh.
And to top it all off, everything is greyed out on the contact page, so I cannot get in touch with the rewards support team. Pathetic.
