I raised a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and after months of back and forth they agreed to reinstate my access and let me cash out all my points.

I didn't realize it at first but once when I got a response I now realized it was the AI's response. If you go into Bing search and type "why does Microsoft rewards suck so much" the AI in the corner will start typing up the same response that I got in an email from their customer service when I first noticed this problem.
You are not alone. You did nothing. In the last year. Microsoft Rewards Customer Support has abandoned the users. Support is accusing people of cheating in many ways with no proof whatsoever. It is a darned shame what has happened to support. They don’t even reply to anyone’s concerns. Support just sends out accusatory generalized replies. Don’t feel for a moment you did anything to maybe cause this. It is all Microsoft’s very strange non-support behavior. They have become quite bizarre.
