Very disappointed with Microsoft rewards, I have enough points to redeem for a gift card and it says

There’s an issue with your account or order Please contact Microsoft Rewards customer support for assistance.

I contacted customer support over 3 weeks ago and haven’t received a reply even though it says you will get a response within 24 hours. Please can someone sort this out, I have redeemed in the past and has no issues but now I can’t redeem anything which isn’t fair on me.

Thank you

I haven't been banned as far as I know, and I still collect points every day over the past month since this occurred. I did receive an email this past Sunday, the 28th, which stated...

I understand that for the past month you are trying to redeem yet, you got an error that “there is an issue with your account or order” and you would like to have this check and have resolve. Let me help you.

Upon checking, it shows that the order got declined was reason for the error. For us to further assist you, we will be working with our product Group to investigate this issue.

Rest assured that we will be working on your case and we will be going to provide you an update as they become available.

We understand how important this is for you and we appreciate your continued patience as we endeavor to resolve this matter.

Again, I only have the one account, and it is only in trying to redeem for the gift card where I started having issues all of a sudden at the end of last month, after having been participating in the rewards program for a couple of years now. I have now missed out on the Movies & TV punch card that would have given me 2,500 points at the end of April, as I had 2 of the 3 required completed for the month already, plus this month, as I would have had the 3 completed again, so I am now out a total of 5,000 points since this started.

The only thing I can think of that may have contributed to this, was I had to purchase a new laptop when I was on a rare assignment with my job that took me overseas for a week...bad timing for my old laptop to konk out on me, and when I got back stateside, I started having issues. Hopefully, this gets resolved soon.

I have heard of this issue or issues you are having. This happened to my friend, and he found out after weeks of trying Microsoft deactivated his account because of violating the terms of service. Your case sounds like the same issue as my friend. If this is the case, don't even worry about getting Microsoft to reactivate it because they will not. They wouldn't even give him a reason why. The only thing I can think of is he and his wife both were using Microsoft rewards in the same household, and you can only have one account per household. I figure Microsoft busted him because of the IP address was the same for both accounts.

For me, I only have the one account and it is still active, and it's been only a few days now. I can still collect points on searches and activities, it is only in trying to redeem for the gift card where I'm having issues all of a sudden.

does your account got banned ??

For 4, when you say “Ensure that your Microsoft account is in good standing and doesn't have any issues that may prevent you from redeeming rewards”, how do you even check this?

I'm also having the same issue and not able to redeem against any gift cards. But it's allowing me to take part in sweepstakes, spin the wheel using the reward points. Not sure why.
